how to change root user password in kali linux

Start kali linux & press 'e' Key on keyboard. 

Find ro in Linux Line,  here delete line after ro

 then replace ro to rw init=/bin/bash

press ctrl+x  For restart machine 

after restart show root user then type passwd

  Now typer your New password for root 

then press enter & retype the new pasword and enter 

then type exec /sbin/init press enter key

after reboot then login your user name ( root ) & password ( as you enter ) . boom
